They originate on Carnaby Street, Britain in 1967. The red blooded, suited and booted, trend setting center of a radical world. The street where fashion and music came together in an explosion of youth and attitude. Mod clothing and sharp style. Bands who sound tracked a cultural revolution. Merc was raised in that sixties mod sensibility, started by MR J, a 1960’s entrepreneur.
Merc have always been drawn to the different, diverse and dangerous. They are defined by heritage, but are no throwback, blending the old with new.
